I love its texture and it gives sober texture to the room. Not only this it remind me of my old house which has all the good memories of me and my sister growing up .

Even when a relative comes and sees this , they are like you remember what we used to do .

It is really fascinating how a little thing can bring thousand of memories and can connect you emotionally.

3) Grandmother's kurta

This is my grandmother's kurta and she is very much emotionally attached towards it. When I asked her about the reason it brought tears into her eyes. she said it was given to her by her aunt and it always her reminds her of it . The memories se spent together and everything.

this kurta was given to her by her aunt on her birthday 10-11 years back and she really keeps it close to herself.

4) My childhood top

This t- shirt was given to me by my aunt when I was 1 yrs old from USA and this was kept safely by my mom. She told me this used to be my favorite and I always kept it close to me . I used to love the Dora cartoon and when my aunt gave me this I was so fascinated.

Nowadays , whenever i see it in my cupboard it bring back the memories of my aunt and uncle . not only this this also brings back the memories of my childhood and I love this top a lot.

Now the top has got all dirty, rough and have spots of food on it but still it is very close to my heart.

5) Bedsheet

My mom did this embroidery on bedsheet like when she was in 11th/ 12th standard which was 28 years ago .

This bedsheet took 4 yrs to complete whenever she has holidays she used to work on this .

She love this bedsheet and brings back the memories of her college time .

Me and my sister love this bedsheet so much and always put it up in our room during summers.

It is got a little rough over time but the embroidery is still the same .

6) My sister's stole

This stole is made of crabe cloth and she loves this so much and even though it has gotten all damaged over time but she still uses it while going out or taking rounds.

It is a very soft material and have a warm texture .

This stall is woolen and brought up from Kashmir from 4-5 years back.

I love this hoodie and find it really comfortable and used to wear it everywhere . Even now , when it has paint all over it , I love to wear it because it is really warm and and I still can't let it go.

9) BLANKET

This blanket is KASHMIRI blanket. Me and my sister are always fighting for this . This blanket is very comfy and gives warmth . I love the texture of this blanket and has been with us since last 7 years . this is made of woolen.

10) woolen socks

These woolen socks were made by my nani for my mother, and my mom love these soo much. she says handmade woolen things are much better than those in market . they provide more warmth to the body . She has so many of them that was given to her by Nani and she always keeps it safe with her.

DAY-2

ADDITION WITHIN THE FABRIC

In this I rolled the the cloth with the fork , and this is the texture that came out.

Here, I folded the cloth by putting fork straight in the cloth. later , I pressed the cloth . the results were-

In this one , I took the cloth and tried putting them together with hands . I stuck them together , and then pressed it.

Here I took the cloth, and took the thread and put the thread on it . Then I again pressed it over again .

In this, I took the whole bunch of cloth rolled it over and put threads over .

In here , I used the tie- and rolling method to see the texture. In this the texture came of so well and it was so beautiful.

But when I tried the same thing with a towel the texture that came wasn't the same. Even the texture wasn't even visible properly. It was due to the material of cloth.

In this the cloth , I tried to put a knot on the side .

Similarly, I put the knot from the center and then pressed it from above.

This is some weird textured I tried , it included rolling , folding and something

REFLECTION

While working on today’s task I noticed several things which I never noticed about clothes in our day to day life .

one of the things that i noticed was that in cotton cloth gets wrinckled up a lot faster than the clothes of other materials . For eg when I took towel and did that tie and die method there was no texture , so every fabric have different properties and the way it behaves is different.

When I ironed my cloth for first time it formed texture but other time it does formed much textures and stayed smooth.

Even when I tried layered the cotton cloth I saw that the texture comes up easily and when it not layered the textures are difficult to make .

CELRBRATING THE FABRIC

The day was started with brief about all the material and fabrics and later we were explained about stiches .

I first tried to understand the types of stiches.

for example embroidery , chain stich , dots , bharma, cross stich , etc

At first i tried some easy stiches like cross , chain , ball later I tried doing embroidery . Starting it wasn't going on too well . but moving on slowly it was considerably easy to work with and I was getting a bit hang of it.
