Journey Tracking
Sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about the destination.
- DRAKE
From not knowing anything to now experiencing how every material reacts when exposed.
Our journey of transform was brought up in different phases.-
Phase-1 Understanding
It was all started with understanding of the materials it's different techniques, tools that could be used to manage them, workspace and managing all of them together.
Understanding material, making up different categories, their way of behaving was even brought and taught up to us in before project that helped us to get through this with a better understanding. (M2M, F2F, TRANS-FORM)
TRANSFORM F2F M2M
Phase-2 Application
Applying the understanding and creativity in a given task for further step.
Making doodles for inspiration, ideation was a step further to it.
application of tools on material, breaking and joining of the material (M2M, F2F, TRANS-FORM)
DIFFERENT TECHINIQUES-
TRANSFORM F2F M2M
Phase-3 Making
Making something new/ unique through application and understanding the use of materials.
Generalizing different ideas in order to bring best and putting and putting it up all together.(M2M, F2F, TRANS-FORM)
Phase-4 Delivering
delivering the ideas with our thought behind the ideas through poems, paragraphs, feelings etc. (TRANS-FORM)
Guiding map for developing creative design

KEY REALIZATIONS
- Every material we use have different characteristics and behavior which reacts accordingly.
- Even the same material reacts differently when exposed to different things.
- Also , even though we were all working individually but when the sharing was done we all were inspired by each other and that helped us to enhance our learning.
- For me the material that gave the most beautiful effect was JUTE ROPE and the messy one was WAX.
- Even the thickness of a material is equally important while making the outcome as it plays equally high role and help us getting better outcome. For example I had worked with both thin jute rope and the thick one but they both have different characteristics. during the explorations I preferred working with the thick one but till the end i used the thin one because it gave more clear and beautiful finish.
THICK JUTE ROPE THIN JUTE ROPE.
Achievements and Strength
- Working with resin, jute rope was my strengths which I tried to keep in mind while working on the final outcome.
- The other projects like M2M and F2F helped me a lot to get through this project.
For example - It helped me realize how a certain material reacts when burned , cut , etc and this even helped me now while working with several materials. - This project has helped through enhancing the whole thought project.
- unknowingly applying the design process.
Struggles and Challenges
- Plastic material was most challenging of all the materials for me during the whole project. It was hard for me to think of things I can make with it and how it will work.
- Making one material stand without any support was difficult but once you find a way to do so it won't be impossible.
- Using adhesive was one of the difficult thing to use. Most of the time I was unable to stick it all together with adhesive but when I used glue gun I was a easy and fun way out.
