PART 1
NOTE TO FUTURE SELF,
Design is something that has always been around us and have been unnoticed by the people . My ultimate goal is to show the world that design is something that is not just an art but a skill.
Harshita , I want you to remind that design is not only about good looks but it is much more than that. I hope you are climbing each step one by one and moving one step closer to your dreams.
Remember- TAKE RISK, TO CREATE MAGIC.

Also remember to respect each and everyone as an individual and try to collate it through your designs. DON'T loosen up the hopes and move forward no matter how many obstacles comes in between because without rain nothing grows, learn to embrace the storms of life.
In the last, I hope in coming years you travel as much as you can settle at different parts of the world, see the world from colorful eyes visit as many as places you can. Hope you have camera in one hand and paints in other, capture as beautiful moments you can.
Don’t hesitate while talking to people, expressing your opinions as freely as you can.
Follow your heart and be kind.
PART-2
During this project, we have been working collaboratively in pairs/teams and even in large groups
ADVANTAGES OF WORKING IN A GROUP -
- Working in groups, can help in looking to a point from different perspectives,. This can help in having better understanding to a single concept.
- Working in teams can help in knowing and respecting others views/ perceptions .
- Being in a group or working in a group can help in building up the confidence of an individual. Being with people with same problem solving situations can help in working together more effectively because knowing the fact that there is someone when we go down to pull us up back is what keeps us moving forward.
- This also leads to a comfortable and ease environment which helps in reducing the level of stress of an individual or as a whole .
RECOMMENDATIONS WHILE WORKING IN A TEAM -
- Listen to each and every ones point of views and ideas .
- This helps in getting better understanding also, good quality and quantity of work.
- Communicate and respect each other as an individual.
- While working in groups divide the work load equally , and don't let it be a burden for a single individual.
APPLICATION OF VISUAL TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES.
During this whole project , I came across many learning done during term 1 that helped me to understand this project in a much better way.
For example , the project that was done recently during term 1 i.e. Isometric drawings which helped in making better and detailed sketches , with exact dimensions.
Not only this projects like fvl, culture and community and f2f had helped in making better observations, identifying various factors of user-object associations and the better making of models and usage of materials for better understandings.
Methods of inquiry - PRIMARY & SECONDARY

Primary method -
Primary sources like interviews , surveys, observations , discussions and experiments are preferred and much more trustworthy than any other methods.
For example, This method requires interaction with the subject and preferred while conceptualizing the object because reviews and interaction with the consumer can help to modify the product in better way.
Primary source should be planned out carefully.
This is used to understand the attributes in a better way by interacting with the user directly .
Secondary methods
Secondary method are those in which there is no direct contact with the user rather information is all dependent on the secondary sources like books, magazines , newspapers, internet , going through articles and documentaries.
We use this type of method of enquiry when there is no source of primary like when we need history of a product we go through the internet to see where it all came from .
They help in providing a huge variety of experts perspectives and insights. Also, secondary research can be conducted more quickly and at a lesser cost.
SELF REFLECTION ON PERFORMANCE
Project aspect that helped in learning.
Timeline-
While making the timeline, we got through tons and tons of information. making timeline is all about plotting things , researching and asking question to yourself like 'why, when , how and whom'.
This helps in getting better understanding of the parts and getting better and deeper knowledge from where it all started. Also we can't know about the product completely unless we get to know how it all started.
User - object association
Have you ever thought about thinking from the point of consumer point of view?
Our association with the things we own is intriguing, and goes beyond its utility and looks. Rather it more about of our choices of what we buy, collect and posses are driven by who we are and who we want to be.
Here we, take a look at the different aspects and facets of consumer and buying behavior.
While getting through all the basic the major source of information here used is Primary.
Here we go through with interviews, observations and discussions.
This activity helps in getting better and knowing the deeper relation of an object with its user.
Strengths
Working digitally -
While working in projects , there were times when we had to work either digitally or draw by hands.
I preferred working digitally rather making drawings by hand .
Time management -
We were able to manage time and do regular submissions timely and even got feedbacks time-to-time.
Key Areas of improvement -
COMMUNICATING -
I had major problem in communicating my ideas to the peers or to the faculty.
I will try to change the way of communicating by building up much more confidence .
DRAWINGS AND SKETCHING
I faced major problems and was not really satisfied with the the drawings or sketching of the products I made. To improve so, I would try to be more active in doing DDD and practice it on a daily basis.
Biggest takeaway :
PERFECTION IS IMPOSSIBLE,
JUST STRIVE TO YOUR THE BEST.
